The Battle of the Goats also represents a moment of Aosta Valley tradition, a day of celebration for young and old.
The first edition of this singular fight took place in 1981, the year in which some young breeders, passionate about this head of cattle, which is also very combative, decided to show the best animals owned by the various breeders in the area, and organized a fight race between the goats themselves.
Goats meet and collide, just like for “Batailles delle Reines”. Then the goat that leaves is eliminated from the race. The goat that has won the most opponents will be the winner.

- Free event
Every year goats and breeders gather together starting from the month of May, and over the months until the first Sunday in November in which we witness the final challenge.
The winners get the “tchambis”, collars made of maple and walnut, inlaid by hand with the typical bell.
Choose the picnic area closest to the event, outdoor lunch and then all together to see the Bataille!
