We don’t just think about skiing!
Fun at high altitude is not reserved for skiers. If you want to spend time in the snow, with your family or friends, and enjoy a suggestive view over Valsesia and Monte Rosa, bobsleigh is for you!
Bob areas in Alagna and Alpe di Mera are protected with safety nets and can be easily reached with the lifts. Access is free!
If you don’t have your own bobsleigh, don’t worry! You can find them at the ski rentals and shops. For more information on rental points, you can always get advice from our Tourist Offices.
SPACES FOR BOBSLEIGH
The first you will meet as you proceed along the valley, is located at Alpe di Mera.
This place is becoming a real paradise for families and for all those who love to enjoy the beauty of the mountains not only on the ski slopes. To reach it, just leave your car in Scopello, in Piazzale Seggiovie, and take the red chairs of the lift that will take you up, at an altitude of 1.560 meters. Once you have finished your scenic journey into nature, you will have to follow the signs and take the road that leads to the town center. You will find the slope after a fifteen-minute walk on a snow-covered flat road, near the playground and the skilift in Campo area. From here the view of the south face of our Massif has no equal!
In Alagna instead, the bobsleigh area is located in Pianalunga, just above the upper station of the cable car that leaves from the village. We are at an altitude of 2.046 meters, with the highest peaks of the Rosa behind us and the entire valley in front of our eyes. You can reach the slope in a few steps from the arrival of the lift, to slide safely and have fun with your children!
The mountain restaurants, located near the two areas, offer tasty breaks to recover some energy between one slide and another!
