Imagine rediscovering the value of time marked by nature, surrounded by clear streams, alpine lakes and larch forests. Imagine a different tourist experience, in close contact with a thousand-year-old local culture, among walks, pleasant moments at the table and plenty of outdoor sports, capable of rediscovering qualities such as peace, relaxation, nature and culture.
In the valley of Gressoney during the summer you can enjoy unique panoramas, a luxuriant nature that will exalt your senses, projecting you into a magical adventure made up of excursions, mountain biking and e-biking, climbing, mountaineering with more than 10 peaks above 4,000 metres that can also be reached in one day, yoga, wellness, golf and many other outdoor activities.
In the valley of Gressoney in winter, you can experience the fun of an international ski resort, with more than 100 km of slopes that cross the Monterosa Ski area, spanning no less than 3 different valleys in 2 different regions of the Italian Alps. The winter charms don't end here: ski mountaineering, fun slope, freeride, freestyle-snowpark and baby snowpark, cross-country trails, in short, everything you need to experience a truly unforgettable skiing holiday.
Castel Savoia in Gressoney Saint Jean, immersed in a dense larch forest, is one of the most beautiful castles in Italy and was built in the early 1900s at the behest of Queen Margaret of Savoy, who loved this valley so much. A castle with an eclectic style, chosen as a location for international movies and videoclips because of its incontestable beauty and the magical air that envelops the residence and the entire location.
As a frame to nature, you will find a surprising local culture: this is in fact the land of the Walser, a population of Germanic origin who settled in our valley from the 12th century, bringing with them a love of nature and a great welcoming spirit. The dialect, traditional clothing, architecture and great culinary tradition will leave you pleasantly surprised and make you feel once again immersed in a magical Alpine fairy tale.
