It is the race of ski mountaineering in pairs that takes place at night on the slopes of the Monterosa Ski Area that, in 2023, reaches its twelfth edition.
The athletes will depart from Champoluc, in Val d'Ayas, to reach Staffal, in the Gressoney Valley, and then return to the starting point.
30 km. of development with a positive elevation gain of 2,800 meters and 14 changes of attitude that the first athletes run in less than three hours. The current record on this route is 2h28 signed in 2020.
It is a technical race that requires concentration, training and an excellent technique, but that repays every effort with great emotions.
During the event the following lifts will be open free of charge:
- Champoluc-Crest cable car, in the Ayas Valley, from 6pm to 11.30pm;
- Funicular Frachey-Alpe Ciarcerio, in Ayas Valley, from 6pm to 10pm;
- Staffal-Sant'Anna cable car, in Gressoney Valley, from 6pm to 10.45pm.
