Thursday... let's go to the market?
From July 3rd to August 28th, 2025, every Thursday is the perfect opportunity to explore the traditional markets of Alagna Valsesia (Piedmont) and Gressoney-Saint-Jean (Aosta Valley), crossing regional borders with the Monterosa Ski lift system.
Round-trip lift ticket promotion:
Adults: € 27
Junior (born after 31.10.2008): € 19
Baby (born after 31.10.2016): Free
The promotional ticket is valid for round-trip travel on the lifts between Alagna and Staffal (or vice versa). The shuttle from Staffal to Gressoney-Saint-Jean is not included.
HOW TO REACH THE MARKETS
From Alagna to the market in Gressoney-Saint-Jean:
Lifts Alagna – Staffal: departures at 7:30 / 8:30 / 9:15
Shuttle Staffal – Gressoney-Saint-Jean: departures at 9:00 / 10:00 / 10:35
Return from Gressoney-Saint-Jean to Alagna:
Shuttle Gressoney-Saint-Jean – Staffal: 12:40 / 13:40 / 14:10 / 14:40 / 15:10 / 15:40
Lifts Staffal – Alagna: last departure at 16:15
From Gressoney (Staffal) to the market in Alagna:
Lifts Staffal – Alagna: departures between 7:30 and 9:30 (approx. 1 hour travel time)
A short walk takes you to the riverside market square.
Return from Alagna to Gressoney (Staffal):
Return with lifts by 16:15

During market days, take part in a guided tour and discover the Walser traditions and architecture of Alagna Valsesia.
Time: 12:00 PM (duration: 1 hour)
Cost: € 5.00 per person (to be paid on site)
