With the Pianalunga - Bocchetta delle Pisse chairlift (43) you reach an altitude of 2403 meters to enjoy a privileged view of the south face of Monte Rosa. From here you can start excursions towards Alpe Bors or Alpe Pile or approach the start of the Cimalegna via ferrata.

What to do at the Bocchetta delle Pisse?
Are you looking for an exciting course on a fully equipped rocky ridge? Then you absolutely must try the Via Ferrata di Cimalegna, in Alagna Valsesia! Breathtakingly beautiful and accessible in summer thanks to the chairlift service which from Pianalunga leads straight to its start, at the Bocchetta delle Pisse. It is a cross between hiking and mountaineering, also suitable for the little ones.
To reach the start of the via ferrata, once you arrive at Pianalunga, you can either reconnect with trail 205a by descending a few meters along the dirt road that leads to Alpe Seiwji, or continue upwards along the ski slope.
From Pianalunga, it takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes on foot to reach the Bocchetta delle Pisse.
Once at the Bocchetta, continue walking past the old bar-restaurant and follow the trail that leads to the base of the rocky ridge, where the via ferrata begins.
Furthermore, excursions depart from here towards Alpe Bors, a verdant basin at an altitude of 1836 meters crossed by dozens of streams. Here we also find the Crespi-Calderini refuge, small but very welcoming. Continuing downhill, it is also possible to reach Alpe Pile, a green plateau that was the ancient site of the Sesia glacier and is one of the most important panoramic points on the south face of Monte Rosa.
