An alpine restaurant surrounded by green pastures, easily accessible and panoramic!
Alpe Meggiana is located in the Municipality of Pila, at 1.560 meters above sea level.
What makes it special is the incredible view it offers over Valsesia and Monte Rosa. A real balcony to look out onto, surrounded only by silence and the few noises of nature.
The alpine restaurant, open during the summer season, offers genuine dishes and some good rest after the walk.
Even if it can be reached by car, doing it on foot is much more rewarding!
Reach Mera using the chairlift or by car. From Mera just follow the Cycle and Pedestrian Path number 2, which connects Mera to Meggiana and finally to Rassa. The itinerary is wide and clean, with a minimum height difference, and is therefore accessible to everyone, even with the whole family. Walking time is approximately two hours, but if you need to come back to Mera, you must also consider the return journey and thus calculate twice the time indicated.
During the longest and hottest days you can choose to stop here at the aperitif time and leave in time to return when the sun has not yet set. It is one of the most evocative moments to experience Meggiana!
