Ayas and Monterosa Ski are truly a paradise for freeriders. Starting from Champoluc and arriving as far as Alagna, there are countless possibilities in an area with almost no borders: an infinite choice of couloirs, soft couloirs, large areas of powder snow and kilometres of easy routes. The highest point that can be reached by lift is Punta Indren (3275 m), where the 'eagle gully' is famous. There are also countless opportunities to reach even more remote areas by means of short ascents with sealskins or on foot (backcountry).
For those who prefer to reach stretches and descents that are inaccessible by ski lifts, heliskiing is the solution: in fact, there are many itineraries in Champoluc, Frachey and Gressoney. Managed by Alpine guides, heliskiing is an activity that brings off-piste skiing to a memorable experience.
