The story of the Hut dedicated to Quintino Sella began in 1885, when at the behest of the CAI, the first hut was built to accommodate a dozen people.
The carpenter of Gressoney Daniele Thedy built it and the cost of the works is less than 1.400 Lire.
The current structure, which can accommodate up to 140 people, was inaugurated at the end of August 1981 and, over the years, continues to undergo improvements and modernizations.
The refuge is an excellent base for reaching the Castore and the Eastern and Western Lyskamm and the Naso del Lyskamm.
