Among the ways to reach Alpe di Mera in summer the chairlift is certainly the most characteristic. The red two-seater chairs are now a real icon of this country!
Choose to leave your car in Piazzale Seggiovie in Scopello and embark on this strange journey that will take you from 707 meters up to 1,560 meters above sea level.
After a few minutes, you will feel the unique sensation of well-being that goes through this nature. The noises of the village become more and more distant and are gradually replaced by those of the beech and fir woods that you will cross in summer. You will hear the wind, the animals, the flowing of the waterways. And when you emerge from the trees you will have the biggest surprise, Monte Rosa!
In winter you’ll travel in a fairy-tale landscape, and through the white sleeping nature. While suspended over Valsesia, you can admire the small towns below you and a view of Monte Rosa that thrills even those who have always admired it! If the sky is clear, you will recognize the ski lifts of Alagna and the Capanna Regina Margherita!
The journey takes about 20 minutes and ends right in the center of Mera, from where you can start your high-altitude adventure on foot or on skis!
Playground, tennis, paragliding, walking and cycling routes in winter. Ski, fun, bobsleigh areas and snowshoes track in winter. The warm welcome and the tasty cuisine of the mountain restaurants, are there in every season!
Choosing the chairlift also in summer, when access is allowed by car too, helps us to reduce the impact of cars on our nature, and to avoid the crowding of high-altitude parking lots. If you are traveling with your pet friend or want to carry your bicycle and luggage for a long-term stay, you don’t have to worry. All chairs are equipped with a bike hook and our staff will help you position it and load bags and backpacks!
