Varallo
The Varallo tourist reserve offers fly-fishing and no-kill fishing only for over a kilometre along the Mastallone stream, from its confluence with the Sesia to the 'Ponte delle Folle'. Scrapes and holes alternate with wide blades, making fishing easy. These waters are rich in brown trout and rainbow fish, but it is not uncommon to also catch marmoras and their hybrids.
Scopello
One kilometre and 200 metres of Sesia: scrapes and deep blades surrounded by wide gravel banks, then the river crosses the village of Scopello before opening up again among the meadows. "By 'spying' from the three bridges crossing the river, one can realise how many trout and grayling inhabit this stretch. It is a reserve, which opens every year in spring, where it is possible to fish by touch, spinning or fly fishing, with no obstacles, and where any accompanying persons can wait for you while relaxing in the sun.
Tourist section 'Alta Valle Sesia
