The Palon di Resy is easy and can be reached from Saint Jacques in just over two hours. The route climbs steeply through the wood from where you will begin to see the town of Champoluc and the Ayas basin from above before leaving the pine forest to go the peak, a real balcony over the Monte Rosa glaciers.
