For those who want to conquer the descents, the Monterosa Ski ascent routes are the ideal solution, allowing all "pellata" lovers to experience the spaces of the mountain dedicated to them in absolute freedom and safety.
The Monterosa Ski trails, well-maintained and specially signposted for high-level training or simply to fully enjoy the surrounding nature by reclaiming one's own spaces, are itineraries specifically designed for ski mountaineers on which to have fun without disturbing or creating dangerous encounters on the downhill slopes.
In Ayas Valley a route starts from Ciarcerio and goes up to Colle Bettaforca, while in Gressoney Valley you can go up from Sant'Anna to Colle Bettaforca and from Gabiet up to Passo dei Salati.
All three routes are constantly monitored and groomed by snowcats, starting right next to the ski lifts. The ski mountaineer can easily reach the top of the slopes, stop in the refuge and go down the slope, enjoying the surrounding environment without worries in complete safety.
The Monterosa Ski skimo tracks* offer different lengths and difficulties on perfectly traced and groomed dedicated slopes.
It is possible to access the groomed slopes dedicated to ski mountaineers in the upper part of the ski area by purchasing the ski mountaineering day ticket for 15,00 euros or the seasonal ticket for 105,00 euros. The ski pass** allows you to use the Frachey-Alpe Ciarcerio funicular, in Val d'Ayas, and the Stafal-Sant'Anna cable car and the Stafal-Gabiet cable car, in the Gressoney Valley, to reach the altitude where the dedicated slopes will be groomed .
Do not miss the long-awaited edition of the now famous MonterosaSkiAlp, night race organized by the technical office Monterosa Ski.
*Tracks marked in green on the Monterosa Ski in-real-time map.
** The ticket entitles you, on the same day, to one ascent for each climbing system that leads to the ski alp routes and one descent with the Frachey funicular per day. In summary: 1 ascent with the Frachey-Ciarcerio funicular + 1 ascent with the Stafal-Sant'Anna cable car + 1 ascent with the Stafal-Gabiet cable car + 1 descent with the Frachey funicular. It will not be possible to make more than one ascent with the same lift.
