From Graines follow the paved farm road, cross it at the first bridge and a mule track begins which leads to the pastures of Charbonnière. Here you return to the farm road, beyond which there is again the possibility of taking the path (cutting a bend).
The road continues across another bridge q. Around 1750, you go to the orographic right. The mule track now goes up to complete a semicircle and reach the Chancharlec pastures and the plateau with Frudiere pasture.
After having passed the landslide, go down towards the stream and follow it. You arrive at a new bridge, crossing it is the new path n.9 for the Frudière lakes, which reaches the Chatelet pasture (longer route) and to reach the intermediate lake you go down a slight slope. The traditional path goes up to the left (without going over the bridge mentioned above), a more direct route that leads to the small lower lake. Once you have reached the intermediate lake, go around it anticlockwise (path overgrown with shrubs but passable) until you reach a semi-ruined pasture.
The path climbs up to the rocky bastion and exits among the pastures that enclose the superior lake.
A few minutes' walk takes you to Colle di Frudiere.
