“Graines de Culture” is a package created to let you know the medieval villages, walk along the Roman road and tell you the story of the Roman Bridge that becomes the protagonist of the spectacular historical carnival of Pont-Saint-Martin, walk through the streets of Chemp to discover the sculptures that animate the most characteristic corners of this small village become an open-air museum, visit the Fort of Bard, its museums and its walkways, accompany you to discover the Ecomuseum of Vine and Wine and visit the Dairy Ecomuseum of Teby.
And after all this walking, discover and visit, enjoy together a snack where you will not miss meats, cheeses and local wines.
Validity: from mid-March to mid-June and from mid-September to the end of November
Arrival of guests in the accommodation from late afternoon, accommodation, dinner (free or included if you choose hotel in half board)
Morning meeting in Donnas with the guide: visit to the Roman road, the medieval village, Ecomuseum of Vine and Wine, Dairy Ecomuseum of Teby. The ecomuseums will be open ad hoc for us!
Transfer on foot or by bus to Pont-Saint-Martin, for a visit to the Roman bridge, the stronghold ‘L Castel and the pretty church of Fontaney
Return to Donnas on foot or by bus (not included) and return to the hotel
Free dinner or included if you choose hotel in half board
Morning meeting in Donnas. With the shuttle organized moving to Bard
Visit to the imposing Fort of Bard, nineteenth-century fortification now home to numerous permanent museums and important temporary art exhibitions. The visit develops on foot along the walkways of the Fort to fully appreciate the structure and will end with a visit to a staging.
Transfer to Chemp with organized shuttle: Chemp is an open-air museum, a small village perched on the mountain, consisting of a handful of houses and alleys inhabited by numerous sculptures and works of art that animate the most characteristic corners between fountains, raccards and barns now in disuse.
Return to Donnas, with afternoon snack at Cantina Les Caves.
