Campo Base is a restaurant on the slopes of Monterosa Ski that has become a meeting point for sportsmen and women. It was opened in 2005, where the family pastureland used to be, with the idea of bringing a piece of the Himalayas to our home and letting you discover it.
Base Camp is also something more: a nomadic tent for dreamers, mountain lovers, explorers, philosophers of savoir vivre and good eating. The terrace enjoys a breathtaking panorama, ranging from the peaks of Monte Rosa to Gran Paradiso, passing by the Matterhorn. A 360° perspective in which to immerse yourself. On clear days, the windows mirror the mountains and you are literally surrounded by the peaks.
"There are fourteen tables plus one: in homage to the Himalayan eight-thousanders, and one dedicated to the Churen Himal, the first peak explored by the Val d'Ayas Alpine Guides, a reminder of how long-lasting the link with such distant mountains is!
We choose top-quality, short supply chain ingredients; we seek out the excellence of the territory and offer them to you in proposals that change every day. We visit the companies first hand and prefer small ones, which work without using chemicals, with a view to returning to longer timescales and genuine products.
The pasta is homemade, the burgers fresh from our butcher, the bread sourdough. Our cuisine is also a journey through flavours. We have the ambition to take you on a journey with the Tuesday Tibetan dish and recipes with ethnic contamination. The pasta is homemade, the burgers fresh from our butcher, the bread sourdough.
