Situated at an altitude of 1979 m, Lo Retsignon ('The Snack') is an excellent place of refreshment both for those who enjoy skiing in winter or simply want to spend a day in the snow, and for those who seek the coolness of the mountains in summer. Thanks to its location, it can be easily reached on foot by the Frachey funicular. It is also located at the departure point of the La Mandria chairlift, the junction between Champoluc and Gressoney. The service on offer is comprehensive: in addition to the bar, there is a restaurant with table service, for those who want to sit down and enjoy a good lunch, and a quicker service for those who want to dedicate as much of the day as possible to sport. The restaurant is therefore very spacious, structured on two floors with two dehors: a very large front one and a smaller side one, but with an excellent panoramic view. As far as the cuisine is concerned, the choice is very wide: it ranges from typical Valdostan dishes such as polenta concia and Valdostan-style soup, to more classic dishes such as pasta, hamburgers, chips and various salads.
