On holiday, an afternoon of padel is ideal for unwinding and staying in shape, playing on the brand new courts built by the Ayas municipality. The two courts are located in the Champoluc sports area, next to the football pitch. Here you will be surrounded by a spectacular mountain landscape, definitely an experience worth trying.
Whether for training or a challenge between friends, here you can play and train whenever you feel like it: the fields are equipped with evening lighting!
For the uninitiated, however, Padel is one of the trendiest sports at the moment, a game played in pairs, derived from tennis, whose court (half of a tennis court) is bordered on all four sides by walls on which the ball can bounce and remain in play. The name comes from the Spanish pádel, a graphic adaptation of the English paddle, meaning 'paddle', a term originally used to refer to the special wooden rackets that were originally used to play the game.
The game is played with a racket, known as a 'paddle', with a rigid racket with which a ball is hit that is indistinguishable externally from a tennis ball but has a slightly lower internal pressure to limit rebound and allow players greater control.
